God Is Not in a Rush, So Why Are You Sweating?

When waiting on God starts feeling like a full-time job.

Scripture: Psalm 27:14 (NIV) β€” β€œWait for the LORD; be strong and take heart and wait for the LORD.”

Hey girl hey! Have you ever prayed, waited, prayed some more, and then started wondering if God misplaced your request? πŸ˜‚ You know He heard you, but the timeline is giving you absolutely nothing to work with!

Sis, are you waiting on God, or are you trying to help Him meet your deadline? There's a difference between faith-filled action and anxious striving. Faith takes the next step when God gives direction. Anxiety tries to take ten steps because standing still feels scary.

We can get so consumed with figuring out when and how that we forget to ask God what He wants to develop in us while we wait.

Waiting can expose our need for control. It can reveal how much we depend on outside validation. It can teach us patience, wisdom, and how to move without needing every detail explained first.

And let's be clear: waiting doesn't mean doing absolutely nothing. Sometimes you need to prepare, study, save, apply, make the phone call, or have the difficult conversation.

But you don't have to force an outcome to prove you have faith.Sometimes we're so busy waiting for the promise that we forget to trust the One who made it.

Here's the truth: you can trust God without trying to control the outcome. Waiting doesn't mean doing nothing. Prepare, grow, take the steps He's given you, and stop trying to force doors open just because you're tired of standing outside.

God's timing may challenge your patience, but you don't have to let uncertainty steal your peace.

Sis, Let’s Reflect:
What are you trying to rush because waiting makes you uncomfortable? Identify the next step you can take, surrender what you cannot control, and give yourself grace in the meantime.
