Holy Ghost Side-Eye: When Faith Meets Real Life

Let’s be real, I love Jesus, but sometimes life makes me roll my eyes so hard the Holy Ghost has to remind me to fix my face.

I’m convinced faith isn’t about pretending everything’s fine when it isn’t. It’s not about hiding your frustration under church hats and polite smiles. Faith is raw. Faith is honest. Faith sometimes comes with a side-eye and a deep sigh when the bills don’t match the bank account or the healing you prayed for takes its sweet time.

The thing is God can handle it all.

Your frustration. Your confusion. Your “Lord, make it make sense.” He’s not offended by your honesty… He welcomes it. He’s not surprised by your side-eye… He already knew you’d roll it.

The Grace-n-Melanin journey is about bringing your whole self to the altar, the strong you, the tired you, the spicy you, the holy you, the hopeful you. It’s about knowing you can side-eye life and still lift your hands in worship five minutes later.

So here’s your permission: keep it real with God. He can take it and transform it.

Scripture Reflection:
“Pour out your heart before Him; God is a refuge for us.” — Psalm 62:8

Sis, Let’s Reflect:
What do you need to be real about with God this week? Write it, pray it, say it out loud and let Him meet you there.
